18x10 +35

my buddy is selling a bronze set of rg2's in this fitment and i'm wondering if i should give up my 18x9 +28 gunmetal rz's that are currently on my phantom black x and pick these up.

which set of wheels am i better off going with for performance?

for performance i would say the rgII because of the 10" width but for daily use i would say the rz.

how much of a difference does the offset make from a performance standpoint?
i always read about how people prefer a lower offset because it looks better but what about performance? is there a certain point where you start doing more harm than good by going with a lower offset?

haven't put much thought/research into what tires i would run on a 10" wide wheel,
i'm currently running the stock size on the 18x9's.

i'm just trying to figure out if these rg2's are worth picking up as i know a wider wheel will give me more traction but i'm clueless as to how much of a role the offset will play when it comes to performance.

does a wider wheel require a lower offset?

+35, is not a good offset for an 18x10, you will want +22 / +25 or so... for a good look. Here's a chart that can help figure out proper offset. http://www.forgeline.com/wheel_fitment.php

You can try their form, and they will prolly let you know, exactly what fits best.

for both!

haven't you read the memo?

Wider stance / track will improve handling

I don't think I would even consider a +35 to be honest. Worst case is you have to run spacers, something I don't really like to do.... generally when it comes to wheel offset its better to not settle on something even if its a good deal. my opinion. goodluck!

18x10 +35 and 18x10 +25 and 18x10 +15 all have the same width.

its the offset that will give you the stance.

You can also run 18x10.5 +12 if you have the guts to do it

Here is an example of our X w/ Rays SE37K in 18x10.5 +12 275/35/18, front fenders rolled, rear fenders shaved.
