Eibach or Swift Springs Help me decide
Hey guys I need a quick help in decision today.. I've already technically ordered the Eibach's but they are not in stock.. Until supposedly today(I don't really believe them though) Anyhow I'm having some second thoughts.. Anybody have experience with either springs let me know..
Good/bad.. Are the Eibach's too low? Swifts, too hard/soft? anything... I've read a few reviews on the Eibach's(which look good most of the time, but sometimes too low) Unfortunately the Swifts haven't really been reviewed..
Let me know guys, feel free to post up some pictures..

I should fist mention that I do not have personal experience with either the Eibach’s or the Swift springs. Since you are asking for some quick advice I figured I would offer.
I had my spring choice narrowed down to either the Swift’s or the WORKS I end up going with the WORKS because I have a friend that represents them locally and is here for me if I need anything for my car. I am very happy with my choice, however, when making my decision I spoke with my friend who did not have a bad thing to say about Swift’s products, in fact both WORKS and Swift have collaborated on a few projects if I am not mistaken.
I personally feel you will have a better product in the Swift springs as they are notorious for R&D and making products that not only work very well with stock components but help the performance of the car.
Either way you will be fine so don’t beat yourself up over it! Enjoy the car
Hope this helped

Silly X's.
Advance search Swift and my screen name for threads I have started on my reviews of the Swift products for the CT9A Evo. Yes, its not an X, but you can read what they can do for the 8/9 Evos. Expect the same quality and engineering for the X.

I have Swift spec-r's. There a little soft imho but not too bad and not to low. It does even the car out nicely but its a little too bouncy on the highway for my taste but I like a very firm ride. I am looking into making the change to coilovers and will be selling the Swift's.
Oops just realized this is regarding an Evo x Im sorry

CT9A offerings:
Swift Sports: 179-269, 207-319 (157-314 for MR). -1.4, -0.8 drop
Swift Spec R's: 157-358, 196-380 (153-380 for MR). -1.4, -0.8 drop
The initial rate isn't stiff, but at the limit - these are fairly stiff.
I don't have the X rates on hand - sorry.

no personal experience as well with both but i think the eibach's are too low for me judging from what i have seen from forumers.
swift 1" and .6" in the back i think are ideal for DD.

i had eibachs on my STi and i thought they were too low. the back end developed a pretty serious case of saggy butt syndrome and looked pretty bad IMO. i read SmikeEvo's thread about his Swift springs setup and they sounds pretty awesome... I say cancel your order of eibachs and get the Swift springs instead.
Eibach made suspension and spirngs for the Evo race cars .
but it is all preference . which one is you like better when is actually installed.
Some is lower then others. But thats all.

I have the Eibach springs and am happy with them.. I mean when you are just buying springs you are not going to get better handling than stock. The drop is lower than I expected but I like it this low. The ride quality didnt get any worse, the only time you can notice it is when you hit a pothole etc. But it is not bouncy at all and you will be happy with Eibach.
Buy the Swifts! We need a X review. No one has ever complained about this manufacturer. Modest drop which is good for shock travel. The spring rates are a bit higher toward full compression than stock so they should handle better at the limit. Why did the last poster say ride will not be better with spring upgrades? Eibach upgrade springs are made in USA, not Germany where stock springs come from. Has anyone been able to find out information about lowering springs from Mitsu's racing division like the springs running on that Aussie tarmac rally car?
