Which is the best offset for 18x9 wheels for my application?

So Im getting a good deal on some wheels I want in 18x9. I just wanted to know if you guys think a +35 would work fine on the X? I will be dropping the car no more then 1.5" in the near future. Main concern is no rubbing and I dont want the wheels to stick out beyond the wheel well. When it comes to cars and aftermarket parts Im pretty good in understanding how things work, but for some reason Im a dork when it comes to wheels.
I know most of you will have your preference on what offset for this size. And even others will probably tell me to go 18x9.5. But the car will be daily driven maybe 5 times a month at the most. I live right next to my job so I just walk. The car stays garaged the rest of the time. In the summer I will probably hit a couple of track days, but only a few.
In any case, I would love to hear your opinions based on what I described above. Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, Happy New Year!!!!

i have 18x9.5 +22 and they still are inside the wheel wheel just a tad bit

so you should go for like a +12 or something, and they wont rub at all

I'm not a fan of wheels right out to the edge, or beyond, high 30s would be perfect, I've gone for +30

Anyone have pics of 18x9.5 +12? I'm considering getting a set in that size but I'm not sure yet...

I went with 18x9 +25 in Advan RZ. They are really light wieght and the offset looks great. Right now I am on stock Advan tires, but plan to go a bit wider when its time to replace them.
