I'm assuming you're speaking of the pillow ball upper mounts?
You won't see a big gain in performance unless you have done everything else suspension wise.
You're just going from a rubber upper mount bushing to a spherical bearing.
Most allow for camber adjustment in addition to your eccentric bolt.

I think there's definitely a solid "feel" upgrade and a decent performance upgrade. The stock tops do flex a little bit. On the old GD and GC body Impreza Group N mounts, which just had a firmer rubber, were pretty big upgrade.
