Pretty sure you cannot tell the compound by appearance.... They (Stock Pads) are NOT DS2500's

 

OK so I searched and see that they are indeed Ferodo. Agreed, I cannot tell the composition by eye, but it looks very similar. So then what is cheaper, Stock Ferodo's or DS2500's? What is the difference between the two? I'm betting the 2500's are cheaper and perform better.

 

If it's a Ferodo pad made for Brembo - it's usually FM1000 compound - 2500's are different.

The Hawk pads are out - I have them on order.
