Sway Bar Install Affects Headlights

After my swaybar install, the headlights are way too low. Is there a self leveling sensor that was not re-installed correctly? How do you adjust height?

thats weird, how does the sway bar affect how the light is aimed? Anyways there's a switch on left side behind the turn signal that adjust the headlight. it has 3 settings i believe.

come on now...you never read the manual on how to adjust the headlight?

the sway bar does not affect your headlights in any way whatsoever. only things that can are the switch on the left of the steering wheel for manual adjust, or adjusting the height from the headlight directly.

Yeah, I don't get it. I would understand if lowering springs were installed or coilovers. But sway bars? Eh?? How did that happen?

A sway bar install does not affect the ride height. Sounds like whoever installed it played with the manual headlight level adjust wheel.

With the Xenon headlight option on my Mercedes, there was a link that was connected to the front sway bar on one side that assisted in directing the auto self leveling function of the headlights. Swap the sway bar and it needed to be adjusted correctly even though you could aim the lights manually with an adjustment screw.

Thanks for the input though. I lost my manual so didn't do a quick check there. Any adjustment screw that may exist is not accessable through the top sheet metal above the lights. I did find the diagram posted on this forum and will check on the back of the light.

no, but you know that there is a little wheel on the dash near your asc button right? Make sure it's on "0".
