Evo VIII Ferodo DS2500

**searched but didn't find a definitive answer**
I have a brand new set of these from my VIII. Will they fit the X?

Too bad it's wrong.

The front pads on the VIII, IX and X are all the same (1001 for those that are interested). The rears are different, but Girodisc makes an adapter for the rears to allow the X to use VIII/IX rear pads on the X.

is 1001 a standard for pads? (searched on that one too...)

is the adapter worth the $60.00 being that it is 50% of the cost of rear DS2500 pads?

I got the adapters when I bought my DS2500's but that was a year ago. Now there are X specific pads out there, so I'd just get those.

I am not using my adapters any more, so if you wanted them, make me an offer I can't refuse They are a little dirty... but they do work.

D1001 is the "shape" designation that most pads will reference.

Well, they have a different part number at the distributor I called if you order the X pads, so that's why I said no.

Sorry if it was wrong.

PS: I always replace all four pads, never just fronts.

That is exactly what lead to my question.

I'm replacing them for a track day

You can leave the stock rears in for a track day. The car will have a slight desire to bring the rear around when braking, but it's not terrible.

I ran the DS2500's in front with stock rears for quite a while...

Different part because the compound is different. The shape is the same in front.

Goofy do you have the girodisc rotors as well?

I am interested in the DS2500 pads as I hear they are good for street and track. I assume you like them right?

No. No. No. Not track pads. Only good to 1000 MOT. Sorry, your heavy Xs will hit that MOT pretty quickly.

Get a proper track pad.

I now have the girodisc 2 piece front and 1 piece rears. When it came time to get pads, I didn't get the DS2500's again. I went with the DTC-30's around town & autocross and I have HT-10's for the track.
