Great article!
I've been preaching the teflon tape trick for ages.
Also:
WORD. Can't believe so many suspension companies get this wrong....welcome to suspension 101.

Also:
The V3’s have a spring rate of 455 in/lbs in the front and 515 in/lbs in the rear, reasonable for a 3500 lb car. A higher rear spring rate is used because the multilink rear suspension has a higher motion ratio that the McPherson strut front suspension. Even with the higher rear spring rate the wheel rate is actually lower in the rear.

Great article, thanks for the pics! I have the Robispec Street KW's (v3's) waiting to be installed, along with a Perrin PSRS. I was on the fence about installing them before the winter but the article specifically mentioned that they hold up well so that has pushed me over the edge. I'm going to order the Whiteline roll-center kit today and get them on!
I went with just a Perrin rear sway since the front sway is reputedly a pita to install. I can always change my mind later and go with stiffer bars front/rear...the bars themselves aren't that expensive.

V'3s sell for around $2k and clubsport for almost $3k. Would I really notice the difference with the clubsports, or should I just stick with the basic v3's?
Final questions...What are the spring rates for the basic V3's that were used in the MotoIQ article? Only those who truly know the answer please reply!!! Thanks

I have been asking around, and I have had many different answers regarding front and rear stiffness on the KW v3's. What gives?? I just can't get an honest answer. Some say the front is stiffer, others equal, and others rears stiffer. I want what's best for my evo X MR. Most of all, I want it to be better than stock.

You do want stiffer in the rear for the EVO, as explained in the article posted and here:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-your-evo.html
Anyone that tells you otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about. Even front and rear rates are not bad....that can be made to work. Stiffer fronts is just not the way to do it, even with a bigger rear swaybar. This is a sure sign of a company that has not put the thought into the set-up, which unfortunately is a lot of the companies out there.
KW V3's for EVO X are a little aggressive, KW Clubsports are a step above that. If your car is strictly a daily driver i would avoid the Clubs.
Give us a call tomorrow...i may not be in but Myles can answer your questions better. There are other options out there that could work, but KW's may be the ticket for you depending on what you're looking for.

Awesome find! I spent over an hour browsing around that site just reading tech articles. That is one thing I loved reading in Sport Compact Car magazine. Dave Coleman and Mike Kojima both seem to contribute a lot to the site. Definitely added that site to my favorites.
KW's are a great value coilover! I have been drooling over the Ohlins DFV's.. some day.... some day.
