Advice on dropping a MR
Advice on dropping a MR
I kno the MR has different suspension than the GSR, can someone please help me out with some info on what i should buy, springs or coilovers, and the alignment?
im lookin for the same ride as i have now as far as smoothness and handling, i just want the car dropped about an inch since the stock suspension rides so high. im not going to be autocrossing or anything of that sort,
thanks,

Change the springs, that's what alot of MR owners have done. I got swift springs and I couldn't be happier. The drop isn't too agressive but it really makes the car look better. Others have gone with Eibach's but that drop was a bit too much for my liking. Lots of threads about Swift vs Eibach here or on the evox forums

Eibach Pro Kit, its like a 1.2 inch drop all the way around. I have had my springs on for about a year now. I have no issues or regrets. I think a vendor on here has them on sell right now, for like 200 bucks.
another spring to look into was H&R springs, as i have heard the eibachs are actually 1.6" drop in the front, for an MR... and the H&Rs are 1.4f, 1.3r. ihave put these on the list to think about for my self... cant decide either...blah....haha
I have read that a lot of people go through their shocks running the Eibach pro's. The Eibach drop is awesome but I'm worried that I will need to upgrade shocks before long running them.
Eibachs...and whenever my shocks go out I will buy coilovers. The car finally has the stance it should have came with. It looks damn good. The ride is not near as soft at the stock springs, which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. You will notice the bumps in the road for sure, but I think it is all worth it. Plus it helped get rid of some of that annoying body roll.

coilovers would be way to stiff and TOTALLY UNNECESSARY for anyone who is not a trackjunkie. eibachs are too much of a drop, swifts are the best bet. also if you care about handling you will need roll center adjustment kit, MAP has that for a good price. if you dont care about handling, youll be ok with the eibachs. and you can get your struts re-valved for the new springs if you're worried about springs shorting the life
