So, for the guys that have run both non RF and RF PS2s, what do you have to say about the differences in the tires ?

Aside from the stiffer sidewalls......

And are you all losing your spare in the trunk and dropping some weight there ?

gotta go look up the weight differences now....

I never thought much of Michelins at any rate, but this fall I was in my friends G35x at Mosport for a track day. He took me for 10 flying laps, he is an excellent driver and I was convinced we were on R compounds- when I got out- I saw they were PS2s. I was amazed.

I ran all day on XS's on my ITR (had not yet got the EVO) and never felt as much grip.

Although it's hard top justify the price, the PS2s seem real sticky and I am sure they are good street tires.

PS2 are too soft for Evos.
They are definitely made for the luxo-performance vehicles in my opinion.
I have Bridgestone RE01-R for now and will probably go with their RE-11 or Dunlop Direzzas next.

Ok , good to know about the PS2s, but again, for the price, they weren't a consideration for me.
I think I will stick with the XSs again, was real happy.

BTW, the Star Spec Z1s chunked horribly on my buddies Evo X on his second track day. He was on stock wheels and had no camber dialed in however.
I do not think these tires are track suited.
I assume most of you guys track your Evo?
