Light Weight Wheels
I'm looking for the lightest wheels for Time Attack / Time Trial in a 18x9.5 or wider. ANy suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm currently looking at:
Enkei RPF1 18x9.5 +15 18.9lbs
Enkei RPF1 18x10 +15 18.9lbs
Rota DPT 18x9.5 +20 ??lbs

Volks are just about the lightest money can buy. CE28 is their lightest (sometimes RE30 is lighter in some sizes, though advertised to be stronger), and TE37 is just a tad heavier.
Buddy Club does make a rim that's insane light, but they're hard to come by. Though honestly, if they're that much lighter than Volks, I would avoid them like the plague as they almost certainly would break on the track.
I forgot which magazine did a comparison of wheels based on density and such, but if I remember correctly, they compared Volks to Enkei and the FN01R (remember the model, but forgot the brand, ha ha). Volks had incredible density--much more than competitors. But their track results were inconclusive.

Yea it was the ssr's that won that test and they where no where near the lightest, but I still like the volks for they are the strongest wheel money can buy.

The issue is spending $2k+ on a set of wheels that WILL get damage on the track.
OP you also forgot the Enkei NT-03m. They are a little heavier than the RPF1 but they are super strong.

Hmm I'm not going to doubt you, but my set TE37 holding up well, mind you I drive through a lot of bumps and undulation with such speeds sometimes and I don't see crack or any damage whatsoever. You probably had a bad batch or something but thanks for sharing.
