Found it via the search button and using spacers as the keyword. Just saying...

just make sure you run longer studs and don't run the spacers that have studs built in

Disagree....

Longer studs only mean you are riding on the studs...they are not designed to do this. You have two shear planes of force and are asking for broken studs and unfortunate moments afterward when the wheel goes its own way and you and your car with 3 wheels go another.

What you want is a spacer that effectively acts as a hub extention. To do this you need quality spacers wtih their own studs AND hubs so that the wheel is centered and rests on the hub. YOu want good quality materials so Project Kics (what I run) and H and R are good brands.

I have 20 mm on stock GSR wheels with my snow tires...I will try and post a pict (although the car will be dirty from the 80 tons of salt they put on the roads every time it snows 1/2 inch.)

Ok, now this is a new take, most posts on this board said exactly the opposite. Why?

I should have been clearer, I apologize, you for sure want hub-centric spacers, which is typically only offered on higher quality brands... the reason I stated against the typical spacers that have the studs built in is because unless you go with a high quality brand they are prone to shearing (a lot of consumers will buy the cheap ebay ones to save money which result in similar disaster stories as stated above) ... the other problem is that if the spacer isn't wide enough to compensate for the factory lugs extension then you have to be careful what wheel you put on there... I agree H&R and Project Kics are both quality though and as long as they are model specific then you should be fine

Lowered on Eibach Pro Springs, with Sparco hubcentric 20mm spacers and extended studs.

Slight rub to the fender vents in front at full lock. Wheels do feel heavier since the added weight of the spacer adds to the weight of the hub which translates into increased rotational mass, so you'll feel like there's less torque and power than running without spacers.

oh i also want to add:

If you intend on using extended studs you will have to run tuner lugs or open ended lugs.

Installing the extended studs are easy up front, you can just leave the hubs on the car and just hammer in the studs to get them started and then pull them through with a nut and an impact wrench. However, the rear hubs have to come off the car to get the studs through since the dust shield prevents you from accessing the stud holes in the rear.
