nice wheels, but imo they look terrible on your car. the stretch tires look even worse.

I really appreciate the compliments and critiques. Any comment good or bad is fully appreciated. As stated earlier, I am completely aware that a few may like the wheel/tire setup and many will not like it. The most important thing is, that I LOVE it.

I have now rolled and slightly pulled both fenders and quarter panels. The wheels are now mounted and I attempted to drive out of the garage, however the vented fender liners are rubbing against the tires really bad. That's not going to stop me from rolling on these. Looks like I may have to rip these out for the time being and make my own (going to use composites as my next project).

Next in order, AutoXer's alignment! What a great resource this board is.

Pics will come once all is said and done... no time to waste.

Got some slight rubbing, but overall, I am satisfied. Updated pics at first page.

Using AutoXer's calculations, about -3.5 rear.

Wow, ridiculous! Sometimes this look can be pulled off on a RWD car, but on an AWD car? Just isn't doing it for me, talk about ruining a car designed for track usage.

Now we all have different opinions on the wheels. But for you to say he ruined a car designed for track usage is ridiculous. Considering you are running Eibachs on an MR? Gotta remember that everyone has differene reasons, styles and usage for the car.

In my opinion if it were mine, I would goto a good body shop and have the fenders professionally pulled and run a little less camber but that is just me.

I find it amusing when people want to argue over someone else's opinion on an internet forum. I mean that's why he posted it right?

Must I remind you that the MR comes with Eibach springs from the factory? Or did you not know that...

Why are people trying to run such big *** wheels on a purpose built track car? Wide wheels are usually there for traction when you're running 600+hp on a RWD car. These things will just slow the car down and ruin the handling.

Have fun replacing tires every 5 months and having no traction + ruining your fender liners when trying to turn.

Whether the MR comes with any named parts is one thing, but your criticizing this guy for his choices, when you are running the pro-kit springs and talking about ruining the handling on a track car. I'm not saying for his mods and such that it was an improvement on a track. But not everyone has to customize/mod their car strictly for the track.

I take it you have not been on a road course with those Eibach pro kit springs....... and your 20mm spacers.

Since when did the OP claim this was a purpose built track car?

I agree with Slo, you seem to be mouthing off a whole lot and criticizing this guys path of mods and when your only defense is referring to a track car.... your defense falls flat on its face considering some of your own choices.

Fact of the matter is, this is a street car with track like performance. This isnt a pure track car, or else it wouldn't be street legal. Also in every form of the auto industry, there are people who make track cars and those that make show cars. Some people go crazy wide while others stay conservative. Its all in how the owner wants to mod their car.... and when they come on here showing what they have done, they do have to deal with negative comments, but that doesn't mean the OP is wrong.

When looking at tire specs at tire rack, 275-35-19 tires are around 26.5" diameter instead of the standard 25.7"although the stretched sidewalls at an angle might reduce this a bit. This is the major reason you are rubbing so badly, also the lower offset is pushed quite a bit outward and I'm betting there is about 15-20mm of clearance from wheel to the suspension and even more to the top edge of the stretched tires.

The Wheel width they recommend to use with such tires is supposed to be 9.0" to 11.0" so 11.5" is beyond spec for sure, but if that is the look you wanted and don't mind some critique I guess that's fine assuming it's safe. I would have likely gone with 295/30-19 tires and done the extra fender work although the 26.0" diameter would have been closer to stock and likely not that much harder to account for.

I hope it doens't tear up your wheel wells too much, you can always use a heat gun to mold the plastic a bit to allow more clearance. Also if you drill new holes for the plastic rivets that allow more space it should help as well.
