Go with the KWV3s - importDPS (based in Philly) has these for $1750. Dig under your couch cushions, maybe pack a lunch or two. As the above person stated, coilovers are not something you want to cheap out on. I'm not saying drop $4k on a setup that you may autox from time to time, but especially with the BCs, do you really think its a quality product when they only charge you $90 for a warranty rebuild?

I voted Other. I know you're familiar with suspension, you've got a sick 1jz 300. (This is Brett, one of Fro's friends)

I've been debating which mod to do next, coilovers or FP green. I can do the Green (ported with upgraded WG) and injectors for around $2300. So the closer I get to $2000, the more tempted I am to just go for the HP. I don't auto-x nor do I have plans to, so the primary suspension goal is aesthetic.

Decisions descions
the more power you give the car, the more important brakes and suspension become, so keep that in mind.

Also, I want to throw Endura-Tech in the mix. Slightly over $1500 but mono-tube for the X and have excellent street ride quality and build quality. Shoot me a PM for more info, or check out the FS thread I have up.

i have AMRs on my evo 9. i had robispec clubsports before. i'm loving the AMR set.

talk to Andy, he periodically gets used sets from customers that are wanting more aggressive valving. he'll revalve the used set and back it with the lifetime warranty, you get essentially a brand new set with all the benefits at a used price. and that includes camber plates. the ASTs will require camber plates, which is a few hundred dollars on top of a $1900 coilover set.

it's worth repeating: i am very happy with my AMR coilovers.

ASTs do not require camber plates. They can use the stock mounts.

negative. you cannot utilize the stock tophats. either camber plates or stock replacement tophats from vorshlag. i spoke with fair about a week ago on this topic. either way, this is already beyond the OPs stated budget goals.

my set up could do .So i dont see why the lower level once without the reservoirs couldn't do it.
Fact is my rears would be an easy swap from the camber plates to the oem one's. But the front has the hoses on the top, so that is makes it hard to do it. But not impossible.

I have the coilovers right now. They do NOT require camber plates.

Stop arguing with me about this, you have been misinformed. The OP should save his money for bette coilovers. KWs, HKS (by report, no direct experience), ASTs all around $1900 or so and not that much more expensive.

Talking about the Evo X. There is a little fitting you have to ask for the fronts to work but AST include it free of charge.

too easy, actual experience is always more relevant than a phone convo.

so, just top be clear, you have the 4100s and there is some minor fitting that utilizes the stock X tophats?

i never run HKS in my evo X , but i can tell you the AST 5300 is a light year a head vs the KW V3. I had a KW V3 for good 8 months and couple of races.
