Coilover Help

I'm currently dropped on a set of Swift Sport springs and I'm looking for lower.
I know, I know.. I should have just done coilovers from the get go; but I can't change that now.

I am looking for recommendation on the best coilover for under ~ $1500.

So far it looks like I have found the following that meet that price point.

1. Tein Flex
2. Stance GR+
3. HR
4. BC ER
5. Other ??

I run Fortune Auto 500's and I love them. I auto-x with them mainly as well as drive on ****ty streets. I have no complaints so far.

Good luck!

Of those listed, I'd go with H&R since they use Bilstein for the internals of the shock.

However, if you saved up another $300, you could pick up a set of KW V3's from one of the vendors on here.

You're saying I could get a set of KW V3's for around $1800?

I think you could get custom AMRs for somewhere between 18-20. Don't buy cheap coils...you don't want something $1500 that you're not happy with.

save a little and buy kw vs's or maybe hks hipermax which costs around $1800ish. Coilovers is one thing you don't want to be cheap on!

Psychologically, I just realized why I picked the $1500 mark.

I've been debating which mod to do next, coilovers or FP green. I can do the Green (ported with upgraded WG) and injectors for around $2300. So the closer I get to $2000, the more tempted I am to just go for the HP. I don't auto-x nor do I have plans to, so the primary suspension goal is aesthetic.

Decisions descions

I would spend a little more and consider it as an "investment" to the future handling improvement of your car, but if I had to choose I would have to go H&R on your list since they utilize bilstiens struts

I have the BC ERs with custom vaving and 8k/10k and its a pretty decent setup.

Don't know where you can get them for 1500 tho.

I have used HKS, Tein, Sustec, and BC on my cars. I am currently running BC BR series coils on Swift springs on my Evo X. I also have the optional rear rubber mount which made a H U G E difference in drivability. IMO this is my best set up to date. You can take a ride in my car if you can make it over to my part of PA. You'll see how awesome the ride is compared to others (including stock).

I voted other because I was looking at the Apexi N1 EXV damper set for my car.

They run about $1300. And if I'm not mistaken Bushur also runs these on the "bad bish." just my .02.
