Prefilled nitrogen tank

My car came with nitrogen in the tires and I would like to keep it that way.

Is there a place where I can buy prefilled nitrogen tank to carry around with me, so I dont have to go to dealer or firestone just to inflate my tires.

Most any welding supply store that provides rental tanks to shops should sells them. I used to have a tank in the back of my truck I used for my air bags. You will need to get some sort of regulator to run it also. I have seen some kits the rock crawler guys use may want to check into that. Hope that helps.

Welding supply or industrial gas store. You will need to buy or rent a nitrogen tank, then buy a regulator, hose, and Schrader valve adapter.

Very common set-up for guys running good quality, double adjustable shocks and needing to adjust their compression (bump) canister psi.

Unless you are racing at a top level the hassle of nitrogen is not worth it for street tires. An air compressor that is maintained well (i.e. drained on a regular basis) and has a decent quality in-line filter/dryer will get you most of the benefits of "dry" air.

Just go to a regular air station, there isn't a problem with mixing..as the air you are breathing already has nitrogen and oxygen mixed. I understand you don't want to lose the benefit of the nitrogen but it does not help that much. It still leaks out and reacts to temperature difference.

wow, looks like it will be pain in the *** and expensive to keep the nitrogen in the tires...

I guess I will be switching to regular air soon.

Thanks everyone.

"Air" is already 78% nitrogen. Don't waste your time/money.

If you're really insistent on wanting to stay with the nitrogen fill just get a portable air tank (like autocross and track guys get) and have your nitrogen station fill it for you.

Nitrogen only helps slow air loss from the tires (bigger molecules have a harder time working their way out). No other gains. You are better off investing in a good tire pressure gauge and watch your air pressures.
