Last time i checked, 5100s were ~3000$.
Yep...sorry Read 5100s and thought 5200s because they don't sell the 5100s in the US, only the 4100s. They move you to the 5200s if you want more, which were quoted at $5.6K.

BTW, you can get the 4100s for $2K (at least in the states)...they use the same strut body etc....may be worth a look.

As to the roads...the roads in the US where it snows all the time, the roads are quite rough, large wholes etc. I am sure there are worse roads around but not by a huge margin in the US at least.

I am Jimmi on the other forum (that was taken here).

I have Robi's Clubsports on the Evo and standard KW V3s on my eclipse....so experience with both. The standard KWs ride like a sports mode stock suspension (ie very comfortable)...at least on the eclipse.

I would have no problem buying ASTs or Ohlins for similar money. The ohlins even at 10K/10K ride great on the street.

With the roads you are describing, an inverted monotube might be a good choice and I would choose the Ohlins over the AST 4100's. Both great coilovers and quite durable, but it sounds like the pounding your car takes might mean that the inverted Ohlins would be a better choice.

AST 5100 are available but start at $3k before springs and top hats, so they end up quite a bit more than Ohlins.
