TPMS Weird...?

So I got my TE's mounted yesterday (click here for pictures: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...hort-time.html), and did not have the TPMS swapped over, or calibrated or anything along those lines that I've read about on these boards about aftermarket wheels.

So I found it strange when my car didn't throw a code and the TPMS light didnt come on? What could cause this? I bought my car used, is there a way to disable the TPMS within the ECU? Maybe Im running on a custom tune and didn't know it this whole time.

Weird.

A lot of guys report not having the light come on for a day or two after removing their TPMS sensors.

Give it a few days and let us know.

Cranked it this morning.. first time since I mounted them saturday since I've been nursing my "sprained" ankle, which after a call from the radiologist at the ER has now become a hairline fracture... Awesome.

No TPMS warning?

Not complaining.. but WEIRD.

Keep driving the car, the car doesnt read the TPMS constantly. Once you start driving, the car will read the TPMS after a few miles or so.

Once I installed my winter rims/tires without TPMS, it took a couple days for it to show a code, it's not really consistent. It's coming for you though lol, I hate not having them.

You can try to use a piece of blue painters tape.

Just size it to fit right on top of the dashboard display panel.

It really doesn't bother me that much. The exclamation on the orange display screen bugs me more then the yellow light itself.

I think I would be bothered more paying 200 dollars for the dealership to reprogram them.
