Which tires would you recommend?

It will be primarily for street-use, with occasional A/X and track use. I have narrowed down to the following choices:

Michelin PILOT® SPORT PS2

Bridgestone POTENZA RE050A PP

ADVAN NEOVA AD08

Bridgestone POTENZA RE-11

Which one would you recommend?

The second 2 are a class above the first 2. Grip wise, the second 2 will be better in all conditions other than freezing and near freezing. The first 2 will be better in hydroplaning resistance, but grip in wet, non hydroplaning conditions will be better with the second 2. The re11 is supposed to be a tiny bit better in the wet than the ad08, and about equal in the dry

The ps2 will last longer than the re050a. The other 2 will wear about the same, and faster than the first 2.

If i were buying them money no object, I'd get the re11. But as money is an object for me, depending on tire size, I'd get the re11 or Dunlop starspecs. They can be upto 300 bucks cheaper in stock size... Bigger sizes evens out the price somewhat...

What size are you planning on getting?

Sounded like a math problem in school... I felt like I needed an answer after reading that...

OP... obviously get what fits budget, but most of all consider the reason your buying. Take into consideration driving style, reason for buying (daily driver, weekend car, etc), how long they'll last you, and the coming seasons (rain and summer)... At least... that was my mentality when I bought new tires. FYI I got the continental extreme contact DWS since I needed all weather with good performance.

If money is no object, which given your build and list of tire choices isn't, I'd go with the RE-11. Should have better street manners and still be great at the track. Otherwise if on a budget, R-S3 or Conti DW depending on what you want out of it.

Now that i think about it, if I had LVS's seemingly budget, I'd have 2 sets of wheels. Something for the street, with pirelli pzero tires, and a different set of wheels for the track with some rcomp rubber on it.

Alot of you guys prefer the Re-11 over AD08, I heard they weight a fair bit because of the reinforced side wall. Did you guys notice it?

Has anyone tried the PS2 or know how good they are?

I guess they don't come in a proper size for a 19" rim. Most of us run 18" rims and don't have that issue.

I would go with the RE-11 but I guess I'm a little bias being a Bridgestone engineer.
