For racing, 18" would probably be better for you. 18x9.5+28 with a nice 275. Or +22 offset if you want to sit more flush with the fenders.

What are you racing in? If its auto-x, and your in SM or BSP, 18x10.5 with a 18offset and 275/35/18 Hoosier A6s would be good. You'll have to roll the rear fenders a little though.

If its just street driving, 18x9.5 with a 22 offset and 265/35/18 Dunlop Star Specs or Yokohama ADO8 are nice.

19s are for looks.
18s are for performance.

up to you what you want. you will definitely feel the acceleration difference between the two sizes, even with such a light forged wheel such as the CE28N...

Anybody have experience in the ce28n Genesis in 18x9.5 +22 in racing? I'm thinking 9.5 is wide enough, but I love that 10.5 setup too. *note: occasionally will ahve rear passengers so would 9.5 be ideal for me?

I would get the 19's, cause they will perform just fine and you will have a great look with them.

1 to 2 times a month! wow.. for sure then a 18x10.5 +18 with either a 265/35 race tire (race tires typically run 10mm wider) or 275/35 street tire with rolled rear fenders and aggressive front/rear camber.

also 18" tires are cheaper than 19" and more width selections...(you do get a slightly less roll with 19s but the rotational mass hit isnt worth it imho)
