This thread makes me laugh my butt off. It's all ok though guys, you'll learn after the first few times you do brake maintenance. If you don't own your Evo X long enough to replace pads at least twice, more with track fun, you really won't get the full enjoyment out of these.
The noise is the same as you hear in a bus. Big brakes make big amounts of dust. We have heavy cars too. The noise can be minimized with FREQUENT thorough cleanings. If you ignore it, it begins and will not stop until you remove and clean the pads by hand. They come out easily, do not be afraid. The dust is in the crevice in the pad surface that you can clean with a screwdriver.
I've got 55k on mine, nearing the second set of DD pads and killed (75%) one set of racing pads. Three years ownership, I have probably the best all around driving abuse/wear-and-tear you'll find since I did pick mine up in June 08... Tires and oil are the only other two things it likes to eat as much as brakes. Oh well, feed the beast, keep it happy and it'll do the same for you.
This is a dealer you should NEVER go back to. That's a sign of really bad knowledge or really bad lying. Either is bad enough for you to avoid like the plague.

@ least I know it's not just my car! It is annoying as hell. Maybe drilled/slotted rotors would cure that? Probably pretty expensive!. I think I will try taking them apart & cleani g them up. Thanks for the input:
Drive me nuts, Ive had this problem for about a year. I checked them out and had looked at them as well, time went on they got louder, told them to look at them again dealership they said it must be caused by the parking break grabbing, yeah bs after paying $70 for service to "clean" the rear break components, they are still squeeling louder than ever.. mad i trusted a stealership
