Fortune Auto brake bracket solution for the Evo X
Direct from Fortune-Auto USA blog
As a performance suspension systems company, we strive to offer the best suspension products and customer service in the market for the money. We have taken extensive time setting up the correct valving for Evo's and developing a suspension product that we are proud of. After all, we are Evo guys at heart. We drive Evo's, we race Evo's and we love Evo's. Our Evo X coilovers currently come with a universal brake line bracket kit. We offer this universal kit because our lower brackets and top hats are constructed of forged aluminum. More traditional coilover systems utilize powder coated mild steel instead of forged aluminum; the brake bracket lines are easily welded to these steel mounts. In the case of forged aluminium mounts, tabs/brackets cannot be effectively welded on without compromising the aluminum's integrity.
We have tested a few Evo X's at our facility with no issues. However it has been recently brought to our attention that a few Evo X owners that purchased Fortune Auto coilovers have had issues with the oem hard brake lines. We feel that the current brake line bracket solution is no longer acceptable. In response to these recent events, we will temporarily suspend all Evo X coilover sales.
In the very near future, we will be developing a more robust brake line mount. Once this bracket is completed, we will include it as a standard part on all Evo X coilovers.
Furthermore, we will be offering this revised bracket to all existing Evo X Fortune Auto coilover owners free of charge.
For those of you that currently have Fortune Auto coilovers installed on your Evo X, we urge you to regularly check and monitor your brake lines until we send out replacement brake line brackets.
In order to get on this list to redeem your free brake bracket we kindly request that you send an email to info@fortune-auto.net
Please include the following information in the email:
We appreciate all of your business and strive to continuously improve our products.
Regards,
Fortune Auto North America Inc.
