2 piece MR rotors

I need new front pads and I am trying to decide what to do with the rotors. Replace the rings, grind the rings, or buy a one piece rotor.
I use the car as a daily driver, but I dont want to lose stopping power. However, I am not looking to "brake" the bank.
grinding the ring would be the cheapest,if I can do it but has anyone done this?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks-

I'd just resurface them...but if you want to mail them to me I'll buy you some brand new 1-piece rotors

just resurface them

but no 1 pc vs 2pc will not reduce stopping power under normal street driving.

I have spoken with a couple "gear heads" and they suggested not grinding. They did mention if a shop was able too, they I would have to replace the hardware.
I was looking for someone that has done this just for some reassurance.

since its 2 pc the shop may damage the hardware ...but if you leave the hat in place and take it to a good shop that will take their time should be ok.

In for experiences as well since I might have to resurface my 2pc performance friction rotors at some point.

do you need to replace/resurface the rotors at brake pad change time? Even if they are not warped?

you don't NEED to unless they have lips or uneven pad deposits that wont go away

but for best results you should whenever changing from one pad to another

Is an OEM replacement available for the ring only? ...without purchasing from the dealer. Or is it simply cheaper/easier to go with an aftermarket 2pc?

normally, 2pc rotors are lighter and when you shave off lbs from your rotors, you improve everything. stopping power, acceleration, turn-in, etc...

the aluminum hats should also be able to dissipate heat better which should result in less wear to bearings/axles

again, driving to work wont generate enough heat for this to be of any noticeable difference.

I had the 2 peice MR rotors cut and then they made a horrible clicking noise afterwards. There was nothing hitting anything to make the clicking. Put new ones on and fixed the problem. It was only one side making the clicking and I took it apart 3 times and could not find anything wrong with it.
