Haha. No way. To run an 8" wheel, you would need to run ATLEAST around a 30. Why not just use an 8.5?

Stock is 18x8.5 +38. Should be close depending on how the wheel is built. You may or may not clear the brakes. It would definitely work with a small spacer.

Nonsense.

The new wheel is centered 2mm inwards from the old, but is 12mm less wide. So the wheel is not an issue at all with the possible exception of brakes, but that wouldn't be because it's 8" wide.

If they clear the brakes, they'll be fine.

Whether a wheel clears our brakes is mostly a function of the diameter and you have the correct value of that (>=18"). But it is also a function of the design of the wheel which we cannot help you with unless and until you tell what wheel it is. To be more charitable to ugakirk than I was above, this is also where the question of the spokes clearing the outer face of the brakes comes in; the thinner the wheel, the less likely that the spokes will clear. But, again, no-one can answer until you tell us what wheels you are talking about.

Yea most of the time I always suggest atleast +30 if I don't know what type of wheel they are talking about. I know what you were talking about in the other post though. Haha.

just keep slapping spacers on it until you clear the brakes and you are good to go!
