Bilstein DampTronic

I really like the idea of a no compromise suspension system.

I don't see this being worthwhile for those who use the Evo solely as a weekend track toy, but I could be wrong.

Since I have an SST transmission, I think it would be really neat to integrate the active suspension system with the Normal, Sport, and S-Sport modes. i.e. Normal mode would have a damper curve similar to (or maybe even softer than) the OEM Bilsteins. Sport would increase it slightly for tighter handling, and Super Sport would make it ready for track duty.

Perhaps Andrew from GTWORX could support this product with custom damper curves.

Just a thought.. Discuss!

That's something that I would love to mess with. A one button sport mode that sharpened steering response, firmed up the dampers, and worked with the SST. Someday....

Now I'm wondering how DampTronic compares to Tein's EDFC..

On one hand there's the thought that in practice, I rarely mess with damper settings anyway and when I get something dialed in I usually don't touch it. But....I do like buttons.

On it's own it doesn't do much for me but getting it to tie into other systems for a fun street car would be neat.
