Stance GR+ PRO
Stance GR+ PRO
So, I haven't found a dedicated stance GR+ pro review yet so i figured i would throw one in the mix. First off i want to thank Nate and MAPerformance for hooking it up, fast shipping, great customer service, great price and an all around great company. MAP is the only place i buy my parts from. So onto the review, the coilovers were super easy to install, but there was one hiccup. The bracket that holds the ABS system in place will not reach to the location of the stud behind the coilover. Im not sure if i did something wrong but i tried a couple different angles of getting it on there and no dice. So from there i just zip tied it to the bottom of the coilover mount with 2 linked zip ties so there is room to move. Other then that installation was a breeze. Now for the ride. I currently have it slammed (just for aesthetic purposes) so it rubs on almost every bump haha. Only about 1 1/2 inches of clearence from the front bumper and about 2 inches from the exhaust in the back. These are 16 way damping and i have the rear set 5 back from full stiff and and front about middle and i can definitely feel the imperfections of the road but it's completely worth it with how planted and stable the car feels, and of course i can go much softer than what i am now but i just don't want to because the car feels so amazing around corners (oh and i have summer tires on, so i can only imagine what it would feel like with a set of r compounds). I have an auto x event this sunday if the weather holds out so i'll be playing with the settings to find the sweet spot and pictures will be coming soon. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. Again thanks Nate and MAPerformance for having such an outstanding company, and thanks STANCE for producing and amazing, affordable coilover.

Go in with a casual attitude, because those are not even close to an ASP or SM tire.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Ah...way too low.
And yes, you MUST align for camber and toe after any height changes
Stop being a hipster and do the suspension correctly. Suspension needs some travel to work correctly.

Woah Woah now, I said it was just for looks and temporary. It's already raised back up, especially since I have a track event this.weekend and yes alignment is coming. I can still run a tire class because the utqg rating isn't below 140 but yea im running sm so hopefully the combo does well because.there is some pretty hard competition for sm, we'll see though.
Oh and these coilovers have helper springs so height adjustment is independent to suspension travel, but yea I'm actually at the tire shop right.now getting the tires put on and alignment done

And be ready for them to say that they can't get your rear toe in spec, let alone near zero, with the car that low. In that case, you'll need new, fancy toe-arms. But get the car aligned soon, or else you'll be looking for new tires, too.
edit: I just saw that you raised it back up; you still need an alignment, but probably not new rear toe-arms
