I too have the urge to lift off in that situation. It's unreal how the car just goes where you point by giving more throttle. That is of course with traction control completely defeated.

Great info in this thread. I learned a few new things.
Thanks Iowa

Cool. And, in case it wasn't clear to everyone, when I said "a light tap on the brakes," I meant coming across with the left foot. Yes, it's a twin-scroll and all that, but you don't unspool in the middle of a sweeper. Because the brakes are biased to the front, a little left-foot braking causes the fronts to stop trying to power the car, so they gain more lateral grip. Traction circle. But, again, what's so amazing about the AYC is that this technique isn't often needed in the X. It was absolutely required in the DSM. Thus, I'm less worried about my switch to rally brakes that aren't as front-biased. I don't think that would be possible without the AYC.

Iowa, here's another question for you: when I installed my GTWorx springs with revalved Bilstein's on my 8, with Andrew's recommendation I also installed the rear bumpsteer bushings. After doing the install & driving around on this setup I kept coming back to asking myself was it a smart decision to change out those bushings? Yes, it's supposed to make the grip level more linear (predictable) in the rear as the suspension moves up & down, but is changing the natural movement of the suspension & having that change in toe appear as a result measurably beneficial? Another mod I'm contemplating is installing the Perrin PSRS w/caster bushings in the front to get added caster when turning...it seems like I'll be adding more grip in the front in turns, & I just decreased (maybe leveled out is more accurate) in the rear. Counterproductive possibly? Or will this setup actually be ideal in the end?

I'm sorry, but I have no clue. There was a similar issue with 1G DSMs, but I never looked into that, either. Hopefully someone else replies.
