Rear Endlink's incompatible with Tein Flex?

As you can see from the images, the Tein Flex coilovers I had installed this week had to be slightly modified with a grinder to allow room for the stock endlink.
Looking at the aftermarket endlinks, it doesn't seem like any of them'll offer any more clearance. The mechanic who installed them said that at the height the X is at now, he had no choice but to take a little metal off the coilover ring in order so that the endlink could be secured.
Anyone else have this problem? Remedies?
