Question Whiteline Endlinks

Wondering if anyone has purchased, installed and used these? LINK

Obviously Whiteline would be THE brand to buy and these endlinks specifically look properly engineered, but I am curious if these are really need for track days over stock. Anyone had any issues with stock?

(note, I am on coilovers and have both front/rear whiteline sways and do 2-4 track days per year).

Thanks for input

From 3 others that run coilovers and the whiteline swaybar .. the answer is yes. you will need them.

My friend just bent his stock endlinks..

I just installed my endlinks yesterday it was a snap to put on. I'll post pictures shortly

Like shown in the comparison picture above I too would recommend upgrading the endlinks as well. On my personal car one of my front endlinks is warn out/ damaged boot and one of my rears is bent slightly. I will be replacing them with some of these come spring and the weather is a bit nicer for us

Thanks,
Dallin

Thanks for feedback. Yeah, I always nremarked how flimsy the stock ones were, but when I bought my sways I don't recall anyone making the endlinks, definitely not Whiteline.

I'm wondering if rear is more "important" than front? I think that was the case on my old STi. Thoughts?

I think at the front , especially if you do suspension work. I think the most important thing to do is a roll center kit ( as per the gurus here).
Also if you do the front sway bar ( again I might get corrected on this since I am n00b to suspension)
is that you will induce oversteer by a bit. I think someone said just get the adjustment kit for the sway bar at the front.

The rear is where its at .. do what I did and you will be fine for a while. I can tell you I am happy as a clam.

I can't wait to autox it

I found this as a true quote by another member and completely agree.

Silverghost said "OEM sway bars are matched to produce the corporately mandated "safe" understeer condition. A proper rear sway bar (adjustable) and a good street alignment will probably satisfy the needs of 75% of the street only driven Evo."

With that said I can also say that any time you upgrade your sway bar its going to be much stiffer than the stock bar so it puts a lot more pressure on the the stock end links. These where not designed to work at or under such conditions the new sway bars will produce.

You have both a front and rear sway bar upgrade so I would highly recommend upgrading both front and rear endlinks. Its not quest of if the stock endlinks will bend or brake its when. Mine have seen auto cross and some hill climb racing and they are bent. My car also still has the stock front sway bar on it and the stock front endlink is about to fail. The Rear I have an aftermarket sway bar and stock end ling (Yes I am procrastinator about my own endlink but It is now time I upgrade mine and I will be doing a Whiteline front sway bar as well.

Two comments/corrections.

Not all aftermarket swaybars for Evo Xs are stiffer than stock. Cusco, for example, makes a soften set for gravel and dirt.

Equally important as the increased strength of WhiteLine end-links is the fact that they are adjustable. Rarely does a car - even bone stock with equal-weight driver and passenger - have no preload on one or both bars.
