Wheel Spacers/Adapters Question

Hey guys, my X GSR is currently running on stock suspension. I'm thinking about getting some wheel spacers to bring the wheels out some. I've done some searching but so far I've only seen them on lowered Evos. You think it'd look ok to have them on while I'm still on my 4x4 stance? Lol

If so, what size should I go with? 25mm?

Thanks!

15mm is plenty for stock height. 20mm also fits with almost all tires. 25mm may require some work on the rear fender lips and brings the front tire very close to the liner at full lock.

I only have the stock enkeis on. So you think 20mm would be best? Also, would I need to make any kind of modifications to the existing wheels studs?

No way you can run slip-ons with any spacer thicker than about 5mm. You need something like Ichiba V2s or H&R DRMs, both of which have a second set of lugs built in. No mods to OE lugs with these.

Personally, I'd stop at 15mm, but that's because I value wheel-bearings over looks. It's your call. Almost all tires on stock wheels will tuck inside the fenders with 20mm, as well.

Or, if you plan to autocross in a class such as STU, flip the front camber bolts and get 20mm for the front and 15mm for the rear. Then have it aligned to zero toe all around (or maybe a smidgeon of rear toe-in) and 2/3 as much camber in the rear as the front. This is, IMO, the best bang for the buck handling-wise on an otherwise stock X.

i am drop on swift sport, and also thinking to put 15mm all around. but just dont know how safe they are and how they affects handling or performance. i heard spacers will cause the steerwheel vibrate when high speed.
so, i still haven't put on my car yet.

I've also heard that putting a little "Type R" stick on the back on a car is worth 15 whp.

Neither is true.

edit: no need to start a new thread asking the same question, thanks

I've used wheel adapters before. 1.5" on my stang's rear wheels. Used them for a good 1 1/2 year without any problem. Of course it's a different story with the Evo though that's why I asked first before deciding I doing anything. Lol
