this is subjective and there are plenty of brake pad reviews on there if you search but to answer your question...

IMO, 2 sets of pads.

one for DD.
the other for track duty.

you can get 1 pad to do both things but a performance pad will do poorly on the street and the street pad will perform poorly on the track.

You're going to want a set of dedicated track pads for the road course. Unless you're hardcore competitive in your autocross class, performance street pads will be fine for that.

+1 on getting two sets of pads. They are super easy to change, so you could swap them whenever.

I've liked the Girodisc Magic pads and the Racing Brake ET500s. The ET500s could prolly handle your AutoX needs too. Both had no noise and very little dust but I think Magic pads are a little better when it comes to the street.

But you will need better pads for a road track.

I had the RB ET500's on my IX and they were excellent at dual street and auto-x use.

I'm about to order some new pads for the warmer spring/winter months. I want equal to OEM or better, for daily and occasional autox.

I have the RB ET500s now, replacing my stock, and they're not nearly as good as the stock. I've read the 800s are too aggressive. How about Girodiscs?

The magic pads from Girodisc are very good for everyday use. I would suggest a track pad for anything else.

Besides agreeing that street and road-course pads should be very different, I'll add that what you want for autocross depends on whether you left-foot brake.

Are you running stock rotors? I ran STOPTECH performance race pads, and they work great. They dont have as good of bit when really cold but after a stop they really kick in. I didnt have any noise with street use either.

You can run the stoptechs with stock rotors but i would stoptechs stock replacement slotted rotors. That will get you a bit better bite and the derectional veins will help cool the brakes on the track.
