fancy hand-brake shoes

Has anyone tried Project Mu hand-brake/e-brake shoes? They claim to be grippier than OE.

I was hoping a drifter would have tried these, as that's what they're meant for. But you're probably correct and I should ask on the rally site. cheers

Stupid question but related: have you somehow disabled the "locking" of the parking brake so that you can rip up on it and not have to push the button to let it loose?

Modifying the locking pin to no longer lock would be a fairly simple task...but I hope you never have to park on a hill.

The way folks like me deal with the button is to make an extension handle that attaches to the OE handle; the extension curves up for a better angle when you pull it and also holds the button in for you. When you are done playing in the dirt, remove the extension and the button is back for parking at work.

The other option is to push the button in and drill a hole from side-to-side through the handle and the button. When you're playing, you install a pin to hold the button in.

This is what I imagined, just curious. I like your first option better though.
