HELP! Lots of questions about wheels

I have done a lot of research and I just keep confusing myself. I have basically narrowed my choices down to two wheels. One is an 18x9 +20 (Weds SA55M) and the other is an 18x9.5 +22 (Rays 57xtreme in Winning Blue)

Now, I am lowered on Swift Spec R's but will probably move to coils at some point. I am trying not to make my decision about wheels based on tires, but I do have my stock Advans with a lot of life left on them.

1) With the 18x9 i will be able to use my stockies but Im almost certain that I wont get them on the 18x9.5...correct?

2) I am trying to avoid having to modify my fenders (not sure why) so I am assuming an 18x9.5 is about as wide as I can go without doing that correct? My understanding is that the 18x10 +18 Weds for example would require rolling fenders and re-molding the fender liners. Please correct me if i am wrong.

3) If I do a 9.5" wheel, do I want to run a 255/40 or a 265/35? I am not a fan of super stretched tires but I am ok with a LITTLE stretch

4) which of these two wheels do you think would look better on a WW MR? I have been in love with the Weds for a while but it seems like everyone has them. The blue wheels would def stand out but Im not sure the style fits the Evo...although they look amazing on the Rally Direct car and on Ratrix car.

Thanks guys!

In other words, you are purposefully going at this backwards. Switch to choosing the tires first, as one is supposed to, and your confusion will be greatly reduced.

What I meant by that was, I dont want to buy a narrower wheel just because I have tires that will fit them right now. I just hate to see my advans go to waste. My real goal is figuring out how aggresive I can get with size and offset without needing to do fender work.

From reading numerous threads, 18x9.5 +22 265/35 requires no roll...apparently. Personally, I ran 18x9.5 +15 265/35 and rolled the rears.

In that case, take your time making this decision while you use up your Advans.

And you should still do this in the correct order, starting with the tires and then thinking about wheels, because it's the tire that hits that suspension or fender, not the wheel.

As Sev mentioned, you can put 265s on an X without doing any body work. If 265s are enough for you, move on to deciding between 9" and 9.5" wheels, since those are what will make 265s happy. Then offset.

Thanks for the reply. I need to make a decision on the wheels now bc I have limited time deal on those two sets of wheels. I'm leaning towards the rays bc they are different. 265s are plenty for me. I'd prefer not to lose turn in with a super wide wheel since I don't really track the car. It's my dd. I could always just sell the advans...
