Alignment after H&R Spring install?

Just wondering how long should I wait for the spring to settle before taking it to the alignment shop?

Thanks

I am not sure there is a definitive answer to this. Some people do it right away while others wait for a month. I have also heard of people putting in approx 1000 miles before aligning. When I got my Eibachs, I think I waited about 2 weeks but I wasn't doing any super long commutes or driving. My springs did settle a little bit more after I got my alignment but the tire wear was overall pretty good. I do not think the additional spring settling after the alignment changed the specs too drastically.

i commute and it is 22 miles each way, so 44 miles round trip M-F. I am getting the springs installed on Friday night. Not sure if Saturday would be too soon to get an alignment.

I think you could probably do a weeks worth of driving and it would be ok on your tires while also allowing your springs to settle a bit. Personally, I think the turn around time from Friday night to Saturday may be too soon--unless you have one of those unlimited Firestone alignment deals.

If you install the springs at home and do it correctly, the drive from your house to the shop is plenty. The key is seating the springs correctly during the installation. The springs don't sag; they seat themselves fully.
