Replaced rear struts, alignment needed?

Replaced rear struts, alignment needed?

I had 100k miles on my stock struts(swift sport springs) with a used pair of stock struts with 30k miles(swapped the swift springs onto these) on them. I had an alignment last year but was wondering if I needed to do another alignment just from replacing the stock struts for another pair of stock struts. The eccentric bolts weren't touched when removing the struts so I'm assuming the Toe and Camber shouldn't have changed. So would I even need to get another alignment done?

I would say you don't need another alignment, as long as car hight doesn't change.

Any change in ride height will affect toe & camber

Since I'm using the same (newer) strut and same springs then would the height be affected?

Technically new struts could alter the ride height in that the car may sit a little bit higher. If youre not looking to get 10/10ths out of your evo in the twisties then you should probably be fine

Lol, with a measuring device...perhaps a ruler or tape measure?

On a serious note park the car on a level spot and then measure from the same spot downward in both cases. Something like the bottom of the inner frame rails or pinch welds would be a good spot to compare before and afters.

As I said prior I'd imagine your car will technically be fine however getting the car realigned once a year isnt a bad habit to get into as the alignment shifts over time with pot holes and such so even if your ride height didnt change after the install who's to say your alignment isnt crappy at this point anyway?

A measuring device, damn I never would've thought!
Anywho at this point it's to late since the new struts are on but next time I'll def remember to do some measurements. I'll get some string and check the toe at least to make sure it's still at 0 but other than that all tires prior were wearing evenly. Thanks
