Question: Is wallmart a good place to pick up a battery for under $90.00 that will last a min of 2 years?

 

I'm unsure of the price but it should be around that.
But yeah, you can get one there that will have a 2 or 3 year warrinty on it.
Just get it replaced free if it doesn't last.

These coming winter months will test our batteries and we'll find out where we really stand.

 

Yah it was 38 * this morning and killed mine, wont even hold a charge. Plus the spark plugs need a swap so that didnt help...

 

well good news is my car is 90% better bad news is $85.00 for new battery cables, battery, and spark plug wires.

 

I'm a pretty big fan of the Duralast Gold from Autozone. 3yr free replacement, then 5yr pro-rated. It's a deeper cycle battery as well. They are around 90.00

 

Optima Yellow top is where its at ;-)

d say thats an upside, at least your starter didnt go or something along those lines

 

Thats true I had him check my starter but everythings good....that was the bad news cause I just replaced the axle so I have a whole whopping $25 to my name till the 10th after all this....

 

I've had yellow tops before and I think they are way over priced. If you look at the optima model for the lancer compared to the Duralast Gold, the specs are almost identical, including reserve capacity. I don't feel the need to pay 100.00 more for a Gel Cell battery.
