Winter tire help

Back in the Evo world after a couple year break with a Mustang GT. I have a set of Ice Grips in 235/50R18...

I know a 45 will be ok, but will the 50's be too tall? Not concerned with appearance for the winters at all, just fit and drivability. Thanks!

should be fine. your speedo will read low though.

That size is two inches taller than what normally fits the car. Cant guarantee those will work w/out rubbing.
