HELP: Steering wheel vibration
HELP: Steering wheel vibration
Story: I got new wheels and new 265/35/18 tires installed (use to run 275) . Afterwards, I dropped the car about 1/4 of an inch to reduce wheel gap and had the car realigned. However, when i go over 65 mph I get a lot of vibration on the steering wheel, car slightly pulls to the left, and feels unstable. It never use to feel this way before the install, drop, and realignment....
Trouble shooting:
1. do you guys think this is a balancing issue with the tires and wheels
2. drop with the coilover
3. alignment issue
I run Fortune Auto 500 coilovers.
Thinking about changing to ohlins soon -_-

All three are potential issues-- I have a question , are you sure you only dropped the car 1/4 of an inch---somehow seems unrealistic.. But, no matter--you need to recheck it all. Take it back to the shop where you had the work done.
Do you have wheel hub ring for your new wheels?
Check with simple things first:
Wheel hub ring, if you don't have them, you will want them.
Then, let them do wheel balance. I always do a balance after getting new tires.
