08 Evo Mr Struts

So recently i started getting a clunking on the right side, lone behold every single part on the suspension on the right side is tight, except from what seems like a leaking strut. So i went online to look for some replacement struts, and it seems coil-overs are the only aftermarket choice, i am fine buying bilstein struts but not for the Mitsubishi price of $600 a pop. Anyone know where a good place to get replacement struts? Or is it worth it to convert to coilovers, the car doesn't get track time right now, as i am in progress of replacing a lot as the previous owner drove it to the ground.

Can you just get the strut rebuilt?

Yeah, but right now the Evo is my daily driver as i just got it back from getting the valve body on the SST replaced, and now my 2014 Accord is going to the body shop because my friend wrecked it, so i am really looking to just get the front struts, Really used wouldn't be bad i don't think. But Bilstein offers the re-valving service you just have to send it to them for a period of time.

Don't buy new shocks. You need downtime, but send your shocks back to Bilstein and revalve them for stiffer springs.

Or just get coilovers. Figure out what you want your car to be and just buy once.

Fantastic advise, i agreed to garage the car for now, i am going to throw it on some stands take the rotors and replace them with drilled and slotted, and ship the bilsteins off to get re-valved, it is cheaper and better quality in the end.
