What is wrong with my setup?

Installed my DSG Fortune Auto Coilovers and for some reason when I tried setting them at the same ride height (front right and left), the height of my left coils is way shorter than on the right. Funny thing is that the ride height is almost the same, 1/4" inch difference. I measured it from the ground to the fender (same spot on both sides and did it on the shop and flat level parking lot somewhere).

Bottom of the coilovers, Front Left

Front Right

Are the two coils exactly the same off the car? Or is one of the springs seriously over preloaded and too compressed? They should not be that much different.

Is there some kind of steps when adjusting the height? I adjusted both fronts then the rear then readjusted the front again.
