No I bought the car with those tires on it, would I still be able to use the warranty? Also would I have to go back to the exact store?

Yup replace them. No tire shop will touch that one... And I would be supprised if you were able to use the road hazard protection someone else purchased.

While it's true you aren't supposed to patch the sidewall, I recall one time in my Land Rover while off roading the tire got pinched between the rim and a rock. Put a slit is the sidewall. Since we were out in the middle of nowhere one of the guys in the group inserted about 3 or 4 of those plugs into the split. Not only did it last 2 more days of off roading, it lasted the 200 mile drive home at 70-80 mph and a couple more months until I got around to getting new tires. It actually never failed, never lost a bit of air.

Moral of the story, you CAN do it if you really, really needed to. But if you are in a situation to replace it, do that.
