I plan on running 18” x 10.5” +22 wheels with 255/35/18 tires. Off those numbers can you think of any problems I will run into? My goal is to have wheels flush with fenders. Pic of specs below. TIA
I’d love to give you a for sure answer but my Evo is in the shop, but I’ll at least help you get the answer. So a 10.5” wheel +22 means the wheel itself will have 6 and 1/8” plus approx. another 3/8-1/2” for the part of the wheel past the bead. So in other words 6 and 5/8” is what you have to clear from the mounting face of the hubs (front and rear) to the shock and struts. Meaning, take a straight edge against your hub and measure in 6 and 5/8” and be sure it clears your shocks and struts, if so viola it fits the inside. Now do the same for the fenders except your measurements are now 4 and 3/8” plus the 1/2 for the part outside the bead. So 4 and 7/8” from the hub to the fenders is your measurement to see if it’s flush. (I think they’re gonna stick out on you tho) Finally just ensure you’re tire on top of your wheel doesn’t hut your shocks (it shouldn’t) but simply be sure you measure for the height of your wheel plus 3 and 9/16” and you’ll be good to go. I know this sounds complicated but it’s just a couple fractions and conversions, once you understand it, it makes your life so much easier so you don’t have to rely on someone else for info, and you can double check this with math unlike trusting someone to give you the correct Info or them having a different setup.
