18x10 fitment

Oh wow.. I know its been a couple years since I sold my IX, but where'd everybody go? I am possibly looking at picking up a X today and building it to a rule set... 18x10 is the maximum wheel size allowed, and a 295mm width tire being the maximum tire allowed. So I ask the knowledge base here. What specs (offset) will I need to fit an 18x10 to this car? Will a 295mm tire even fit in there? I have never even looked closely at a X so I have no idea yet. Anything else that needs to be done to make this work?

I imagine I will be much more active on here now that I am picking up another car... Looking forward to being back..
Thanks..

Seems like forums are dying off quickly due to fb and insta. Sucks for old guys like me that aren’t on FB.

we race evo 9’s but I recently picked up an X to try out on the track. Check out the Motorsports section is somewhat active and the few left are quite knowledgeable.

Yea, I have the FaceSpace and use it some. Mostly for watching the SCCA regions and for sale forums.. I was really hoping there would be some good knowledge on here still. This place was a hell of a good time ten years ago.. The rest of social media is a ghost to me.. no idea what its about, and dont want to know...

295 probably won't work with any reasonable fitment/suspension geometry. Most 10" wheel setups run 265/275 on the X platform.

Forums were great. I hear the subgroups on FB are not nearly as useful. It’s the way of the world at the current time but I hope it swings back to forums a bit.

the is interesting. I was one of the early guys to fit 10.5” 285 on a stock body 9 (2nd behind Marshall iirc) and it was a bit of work but manageable. Got an X that will be delivered this week. Hoping to fit 10.5 or 11’s with a 295 or 315 on it.

well see how it goes.

I've seen a lot of guys running 10.5" with 285 tires. Maybe you can squeeze a 295 on an 11" with some work. Front fender liners will rub and fenders will need to be rolled but it could work I would think.

In the SCCA GCR rule set, for the Evo X in T2. The spec line is an 18x10 maximum wheel size, and a 295mm tire maximum width.. Keep in mind that this will be strictly a road race car, so it will be on coil overs at some point. Rolling the fenders will not be an issue either. I wish I could run a wider wheel with this width tire, but if its in the GCR I imagine it was done and thats where the decision makers landed in order to keep the balance of power correct..
So in an 18x10 wheel, and hoping to not have to run a spacer, what offset would be ideal? Keeping weight in mind, I will probably be going with the Enkei RPF-1 because I have had success with that wheel on the Evo IX in the past, they are light weight, and relatively cheap...
Thank you

295 will fit. I run 255 on a 10.5 and it's stretched pretty far.

18x10 +25 with 275/35 works fine, mild roll , not slammed (my setup). I've seen pics of 18x10 +30 working too, with less wiggle room of course.

18x10 +20 might be ideal when going most aggressive for 10 inch wide wheel.. more fender rolling and run 285s maybe. The 295s on the Evo X may require cutting (removing fender liners) and really committing to that specific setup (more modification)..

Or save the weight-- and just run 18x9.5 +15 with 265s..
