MR Bilstein shock revalve info

if they have a lifetime warranty, that's because Bilstein offers that. Any shock they re-valve comes with a lifetime warranty after their re-valve

as for adjustments - it was the mentality of "this is the height, spring travel, and spring rate that the Evo X needs" in the GTWorx that attracted me. Doesn't matter how adjustable they are if they're all worse than that one setting

Is that true that any strut / shock that Bilstein revalves comes with a lifetime warranty on the valve job?

Here is my issue with springs oppose to coils.....

on my second set of GSR (Evo IX) struts because of my swift sport springs.

I have a set of Bilsteins from an MR with 5k miles on them. So if I mount my swift sport springs on my Bilsteins they won't blow out my struts again like my GSR struts?

This is why I'm also considering coils. If I'm wrong please provide me with an explanation?

thanks

With the bilsteins you can send them in to be revolved specifically for a spring. This will prevent blowout caused by a spring, with the strut not being built for the spring.

So my next question is who does this and at what price?

More important, to me at least, is that a revalve to new spring-rates will get you the correct ratio of rebound to compression damping. As a spring gets stiffer, you need a higher and higher ratio.

The only coil of that list I would touch would be the KW.

I have the bilsteins and the gtworx spring and do not like.

Wanna elaborate?

I haven't got to either stage yet. I just got my bilsteins, been trying to decide which springs to get. After reading your review going to get the Swift Spec-Rs. I want to send the bilsteins in and have them revalved specifically for a spring, so I wanted to be sure which ones to get first.

Just gotta find a good deal on some spec-r's now!

Not too bad. All said and done with shipping, tax and the initial work... if you don't mind me asking.... what was the price? Just trying to compare my options.

Web site had the work listed for all four at $300 total.
