Interested in more info. I have bilstein's waiting to send out for a re-valve for my spec-r's.

Did you get your struts back from Bilstein? How much did it run you? How was your experience?

migs647 May 22, 2012 08:12 PM

I got mine back, $300, haven't ran them yet as I'm trying to figure out my wheel / tire situation.

tedd69 Jun 6, 2012 10:28 AM

how were the results of the re valved shocks? how many actual days did it take?

Bigstakk Jun 6, 2012 10:40 AM

any updates?

migs647 Jun 6, 2012 11:56 AM

I personally won't have mine on until AFTER june 29th. I'm doing a comparison. A trackday on stock suspension june 29th with an iPhone app I wrote for testing suspension. Then I'm going to do another track day a few weeks later with the bilsteins and the same app for a solid comparison.

care to elaborate on the app?

iPhones have accelerometers in them, along with decent GPS (which I'd disable if you have an Islamic-sounding name). I see where this is going and it's cool.

Like Iowa stated, using the accelerometer in the device. I'm logging over a period of time to do direct comparisons. It's still in the works, so I don't want to let too much out. But I will be writing an Evom article about it, and will be releasing the app afterwards so you can use it.

WarmMilk Jun 6, 2012 01:10 PM

is it gonna do anything that this app doesn't?

migs647 Jun 6, 2012 04:18 PM

Yes... this app is 100% just for suspension. Keeping track of suspension settings to what your suspension does during a session. How smooth the ride is, etc. That's all it's for. No lap time / other sensor stuff.

WarmMilk Jun 6, 2012 04:30 PM

interesting... looking forward to the results and playing around with the app...

what springs do you have? what are you planing for tires/wheels?

migs647 Jun 6, 2012 05:25 PM

I have swift spec-r springs. Wheels are 18x9.5 +15 RPF1 with Toyo Proxes R1R 265/35 18
