Mitsubishi Campaign - PLEASE VOTE
I have run into problems with said advertising methods on other forums...For example, when you use the words Mistubishi, Evolution, Galant, Lancer, or anything pertaining to Mitsubishi ("hotwords," if you will) videos and text boxes load and effect the load-time greatly. They slow down searches and frankly annoy the crap out of the reader. If Mistubishi wants to pay for advertising, I find the banner ads to be very effective, without cluttering the board in an evasive matter. There are vendors and dealerships who use said banner ads to generate business, so surely it works. I feel that the hyperlink hotword advetising will make this board much less-enjoyable...Please, for the sake of evom, stay away from this idea...Others who support what I've said, repost.
Personally I say no
, not because I don't want to help out Evo M, if their were another offer on the table, not from Mitsu, I would be all over it. They have caused much grief to me as I own a Evo and a Ralli-Art, and have denied a few warranty claims (such as Evo Advan tires worn out, belts showing (only on the inside, all 4) at 620 miles. Blown stock / wifes car (rod out the side of the block) said we raced it, it has 30k and got the free scheduled maintenance package when we bought it, and did all the oil changes that Mitsu didn't cover on our own (got proof, and showed them). Honestly hasn't been raced, maybe driven harder than G-ma would drive but not raced.
So I vote No, they haven't helped us and give much grief over warranty work why help them, just my 2 cents.
Keep up the good work guys, wish their were another offer

I voted no because the inline text ads are extremely annoying.
What, exactly, is Mitsubishi's goal with this? We're already on the site and aware of the product, with ~75% (rough guess) of members owning either a Lancer or Evo.

BTW, not that you'd be the one to make the call, but I think it'd be awesome of Mitsubishi to take an active part in "sponsoring" enthusiast websites through one or more representatives. Keep in mind I'm talking Q&A people here, not shills and spies. But realistically, I doubt they'd ever go so far as to do that. It would certainly be a major step towards embracing the cultures built around their brands, and I can't imagine it having an adverse effect towards future sales either.
EDIT: And yeah, I think the in-text ads are annoying too. But on a limited-term basis with a small number of keywords effected, I think it's within reason to do this for them as a nod.
