it will fit but the mirror won't slide into place cause its made for the normal lancer not the EVO 8. I learned this first hand when my windsheild cracked a couple months back. just a heads up

I had my windshield replaced about 3 months ago and the mirror still mounted correctly. Weird. They did not have any problems finding the evo model for the windshield.

 

Well if they got you the Evolution windshield instead of the regular lancer there will be no problems with fitment. I'm just going by what they guy told me and what he showed me when he tried putting a lancer windshield into my evolution...and I looked and the rearview mirror did not fit it was a wrong type of attachment.

 

i work in a glass shop here in arizona and i'm at work right now (not working very hard at the moment, haha). there's not listed difference between the two car's windshields, there is a difference in the shading, as well as the mirror brackets. from 2003 to the 2004 models years. but the sizes are identical.

if you have a 2004, they might have only had the 2003 glass in stock and that where to mixup was, or vice versa.

for the record windshield part numbers for the years are:
2002-2003 = FW2275
2004-2005 = FW2455

but Lancer and the Evo share glass for the respective models years too. so don't let them rape you thinking that your evo glass is more than the regualar lancer's.

no prob dude. although i just realized a mistake i made that makes me look stupid. the back glass on the evo is completely different from the US lancer, on the evo has the wiper in the rear. so all the parts are the same expect the back glass. Unfortunatly i'm not able to the info on it now but i'll try on monday just so you guys have all the info. late.
