Funny noises

hey guys
do any of your evos make a weird noise when downshifting. Its not grinding, more like a low humming sound. It disappears right after I match rev.

yea I do have that low humming sound too when downshifting.

You guys are just having some foreplay with your evos lol. It happens when I downshift also. I wouldn't worry about it.

Call them noisy synchros ... its was they are suppost to do ... hummmmm you into the next gear

I think I know what you are talking about. Doing a downshift especially in 3rd gear at 3-4k RPM. She's a noisy girl.

It's your clutch that's making the noise. With sound deading material removed from the car, you pick up on the sound easier.

its more than a tranny whine because it sounds different, the sound can be heard just after shifting down, and right before matching rev.
