2What are the two differences between th RS and MR for 2005 ?

3When will these hit the dealerships?

1. Test drive both cars.

2. RS is a lighter version of the 03/04 models. No wing, no hids, no radio, no power windows, etc. MR has acd, 5 more hp and 13 more torque. A little lighter than the 03/04.

3. Very soon.

4. 30-32 (excluding markups) pretty sure i read 32 somewhere.

1. sti if you want faster car, evo if you want better handling. i've driven both. evo also has more tuning capability.
2. for '05 the rs and mr have the same torque and hp. the rs is lighter and has very few comfort features. the mr has some extra stuff you can see on mitsu's site.
3. the sti is already out and the mr should be out really soon according to other posts i've read.
4. i think the mr is supposed to be around 35k without markup.

I'm in detroit and a lot of people don't like imports here so Its hard to find an evo to test drive I have to look around for a dealer..

Here's another question DOes the Evo make the noise and flash like the STI when you hit red RPMs?

all in all this being "evolutionm.net" more people are going to tell you get an evo, now if you where on a subbies site then they would tell you that you need to get a sti, so there for you should just drive both and see which one fits you the best.

1) Test drive both. My pick is EVO
2) RS is really stripped with NO wing, NO power windows/locks, NO radio...etc MR is yor Most expensive model. There are 3 models. in order from cheap to expensive comes the RS, GSR(regular EVO8), MR. GSR and MR are pretty much the same, but MR yu get 6spd, BBS wheels, different suspension, weight is pretty similiar. GSR is better for some people (like me) b/c yu get the Leather, sunroof, upgraded stereo option which yu dont get in the others. Which is one of the reason I like EVO better than STI. I love leather and sunroof. Heres more info:https://www.evolutionm.net/features/newsitem/75

3) ??? They are already out. 05 STI has been out and 05 EVO will be late October early November
4) Between High $20s(RS) to mid $30s (MR) and GSR is in between

I'm in Detroit also, and I don't think it's the fact that most people here don't like imports, it's more like most Mitsu dealers won't let you test drive an Evo cause they probably don't get demo cars from . That and maybe most of them are just azzes.

You definitely should drive both cars and I will tell you that Hodges Subaru in Ferndale is a great dealership. They do have a demo STi which you can test drive and try out. I've personally test driven it 3 times, and actually it helped convinced my friend to buy his 05 STi. Well that and the fact I got him a pretty good deal from my old salesman, who also sold me my old RS. His brother actually has an 03 Evo, so that's how I got to "test" drive an Evo.

I went for an Evo cause I did get a good deal and stayed under $30K OTD. Also, since my friend has the 05 STi, we get to trade cars once in awhile to see what we might be missing, by getting our respective cars. But if I had the money, I would easily go for the STi and then maybe buy the Evo when the MR came out... IF I had the money.

Anyways, stopping my rambling and on to you Q's:

1. Definitely test drive both cars!

2-4. Search evolutionm.net! Particularly Evo General and Future Models.
