Bought My EVO RS -- Waaahhhoooo!!!!
Bought a white '04 EVO RS from Huntington Beach Mistu for $300 over invoice. That's $26,100 plus tax and license. Picking it up tomorrow (Oct. 5). As bad as my experience was at Tustin Mitsu, it was that good at H.B. Mitsu. No BS there. They treated me right and gave me a fair deal. I recommend them. The sales manager told me that they sell more EVOs than any other dealer in the world and I have no reason to doubt that. He told me they sell so many EVOs that Mitsu is allocating them NINE MRs. Most dealers are getting one or two MRs. I don't know how many are pre-sold.

Funny how Americans think that United States = "the whole world"
Don't shoot the messenger. I was just reporting exactly what the sales mrg. at H.B. Mitsu said. I have no idea if it's true. I too have a broader global view, and understand what you mean about the myopic view of the American public to the rest of the world. But maybe it's true. Even if it is not, the bottom line is that they have 9 MRs to sell, and that has to be good news for SoCal EVO enthusiasts.

The 4th largest county in America, with a population of nearly 3 million people.* An economy that generates over $130 billion in output every year. An unemployment rate that is half the national average. A dynamic economy centered on high tech, entertainment, fashion, tourism, and medical and environmental technology.
That's Orange County.* And if our County were a country, its economy would rank 31st among the nearly 200 nations in the world, larger than Israel or Ireland.
I don't know it IT does sell the most, but it sure could (and quite possibly does) sell the most EVO's in the world, so maybe it's not so funny
JohnnyChimpo: First of all, I was not directing my post at Richard 350z. Second of all, read his post carefully; the car in question is EVO, which means from the 1st to the 8th iteration. (EVO I - VIII)
Correct me if I am wrong, but United States dealerships had only been selling Evo's since 2003, and only the EVO VIII. Regardless of how large Orange County is, do you really think a dealership in California alone have sold the most number of EVO's in the world, compared to other dealerships worldwide, since the Evolution's debut in 1992?

My response was mainly directed at the quote "Funny how Americans think that United States = "the whole world" thing, since I don't think that the poster implied anything like that.

Don't worry, be happy. I started this thread to express my joy at buying my RS at a good price after getting treated badly by another dealer last Sunday. It doesn't have to turn into World War III.
B6 S4 6MT -- 4.2 liter V8 with 340 hp. Blindingly fast and very easy to drive at insane speeds in a straight line. Way too heavy at 3800 lbs., and therefore slow on road courses, due to difficulty cornering with all that weight. Very luxurious. Great car to go 150+ mph, or take your girlfriend to a fancy restaurant. Will most likely be killed by an EVO in a tight road course due to lower weight and better handling of EVO.
You decide. Biggest difference: price. Paid $48,721 for S4. Paid $26,100 for RS.
